One copolymer, two product forms and a range of melt viscosities. This page follows what each form is sold on and what a Raman spectrum reads in the chemistry behind it.
Low to high melt viscosity for wire and cable, tubing, film and extruded liners. Halar® 558 is a foamable grade for insulation.
Clear topcoats over the 6514, 6614 and 6914 primers for electrostatic and fluidized-bed coating; 7518 is a filled black powder for ducts.
A powder grade supplied for compounding.
Ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene in one chain, made at Orange without fluorosurfactants.
The monomer balance sets the copolymer composition, and chain length sets the melt viscosity each grade is sold on.
Pellets for melt processing or powder for coating fix the form the customer receives.

Ethylene and CTFE units carry different bonds, each with its own Raman bands. Their ratio in one spectrum is a direct handle on composition.
The C=C bands of ethylene and CTFE mark unreacted monomer; the 300–3500 cm⁻¹ configuration covers both.
Spectrally OS runs one calibrated model per parameter, a hybrid of neural networks and classical chemometrics trained on your grades and checked against your lab.
