Thiosulfate at Terre Haute / What we measure
What we measure

What a spectrum of your liquor carries.

Inline means the spectrum is taken in the line or tank itself. Each value below comes from its own model, calibrated in the feasibility study against your lab methods.

01Spectrum explorer

Five values from one spectrum.

Select a parameter to see where it sits and where it is read.

Schematic spectrum · 785 nm
Raman shift → · schematic trace for orientation
02How it is usually read

The lab methods move off the critical path.

They stay in the plant as the reference for the model and the check on the certificate.

20–30 min
Iodometric titration · thiosulfate
Stays as the periodic reference for the model.
30–60 min
Ion chromatography · thiosulfate and sulfate
Moves to verification and troubleshooting.
proxy
Density
A quick field check; the composition comes from the spectrum.
per round
Manual sample draw
Taken when the lab schedules it, and less often in routine operation.
03From spectrum to tag

Four steps between the liquor and your screen.

Source
One Raman spectrum

785 nm excitation, or 1064 nm for fluorescing media; 300–1650 or 300–3500 cm⁻¹ at 8 cm⁻¹.

Acquisition
From 5 s

Configurable from 5 to 300 s per spectrum, set for your line.

Model
One per parameter

A hybrid of neural networks and classical chemometrics, trained on your liquor.

Delivery
Modbus tags

Values into the PLC, DCS or SCADA; spectra and results stored locally as CSV, PDF or raw data.
