Wire, cable and extrusion
Jacketing, foamable insulation, tubing and extruded liners, from low to high melt viscosity.
Orange makes Halar® ECTFE, the copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene, as pellets for melt processing and powders for coatings. Inline means the probe sits in the process line or vessel itself. Spectrally X1 INLINE takes a Raman spectrum there about every 5 seconds and turns it into process values for your control system.
4059 FM 1006. Syensqo's plant for Halar® ECTFE.
Supplied as pellets for melt processing and powders for coatings.
A copolymer made at Orange without fluorosurfactants.
Two measurement points per cabinet as standard, more on request.
Each form of Halar® ships against a grade the customer designs around.
Jacketing, foamable insulation, tubing and extruded liners, from low to high melt viscosity.
Clear topcoats, primers and a filled black grade for tanks, ducts and process equipment.
Wet benches, ultrapure-water linings and coated exhaust ducts in semiconductor fabs.
Hollow-fiber membranes for demanding water and chemical service.

Pressure, temperature and location of each point are checked against the probe rating in the feasibility workshop.
A pulled sample describes the process at the moment it was drawn. By the time the result is back, more material has been made on the same settings.
Draw a sample, prepare it, run it, report. The result describes the moment of the draw, and the lab queue sets how often that happens.
The probe reads where it is placed and sends the values to your control system. With a reading every few seconds, a drift shows while the settings can still change.
From spectrum to a process value. Acquisition time is configurable from 5 to 300 s.
Routine operation runs without reagents or consumables. Rated laser lifetime is a minimum of two years.
Two measurement points per cabinet as standard, for example the finished grade and a process stream.
Typical time from the first workshop to a running installation: 3 to 5.5 months.
Each page of this site answers the question one of them asks first.
With composition values in the control system, a drift in the copolymer balance shows as a trend on the screen and is corrected during the run.
Each shift sees the same composition trend, so handover is a look at the curve and the alarm log.
A composition record stored with every lot gives technical services the chemistry data behind a grade when a customer asks for the record behind a lot.
Each routine sample from a process stream is a handling step. A probe in the line takes part of that routine off the operator's round, and the lab samples on its own schedule.
